We all want to feel good about ourselves. Feel excepted and worthy. Validated and heard. Told we are doing a great job, or a pat on the back.
Some of us grew up in environments that made it difficult to flourish with wholesome self-esteem, or self-worth values. That is OK, it is OK to feel confused into adulthood. It is OK to not understand self-esteem, and confidence.
Now is the time to teach ourselves, for some of us become our own parent. Comfort and soothe ourselves, and tell our-selves we are good enough, we are brave and strong, and valuable.
I taught myself self-esteem as an adult with help from books and experiences, and was fortunate enough to take a self-esteem class as a young teen. All the different experiences helped plant seeds for me and they slowly started to grow and make sense.
I wanted to put something together from my own experiences and what I learned from books and give fun examples and share some activities I came across like the Looman's wonderful book to help teach values....
